Español III Essential Outcomes 
The following essential outcomes are things that we hope to master in Spanish 3.

·       The student will be able to converse in the past tense using both preterit and imperfect tenses.
·       The student will be able to compare and contrast food traditions in Hispanic countries and the United States.
·       The student will be able to discuss the environment.
·       The student will be able to describe professions.
·       The student will be able to talk about family vacation activities.
·       The student will be able to plan a trip to a Hispanic country.
·       The student will be able to compare and contrast cities in Hispanic countries.
·       The student will be able to give advice and make requests and recommendations using the subjunctive mood.
·       The student will be able to persuade others using the subjunctive mood.
·       The student will be able to discuss what may or may not happen using the subjunctive mood.
·       The student will be able to express what he or she wants other people to do using the subjunctive mood.
·       The student will be able to refer to previously mentioned people or things using pronouns.
·       The student will be able to identify geographical features of countries in South America.
·       The student will be able to evaluate the influence of geography on travel in Latin America.
·       The student will be able to talk about what would happen in hypothetical situations.
·       The student will be able to read and discuss short stories in Spanish.
·       The student will be able to write a well-constructed 3-paragraph essay in Spanish.
