          B.  always bring your textbook,  Bien Dit!
          C.  always bring either a 3-ring binder with a supply of notebook
              paper OR you may use a spiral notebook that has pockets for
              handouts
          D. absolutely no dipping, chewing or eating during class
              (unless we’re eating as part of our class that day)

          E.  language classes are not spectator sports so be prepared to participate daily

II.  Grading:

          A.  The following scale will be used:  A (95-100); A- (90-94); B+ (87-89);
               B (83-86); B- (80-82); C+ (77-79); C (73-76); C- (70-72); D+ (67-69);
               D (63-66); D- (60-62); F (Below 60)

          B.  Grading is based on the total points available throughout the year.  Those points

              are from tests, quizzes, conversations, projects and homework assignments.

          C.  Late work:

              Assignments are due at the beginning of class.  Since homework is typically checked in
              class, there is NO LATE WORK!
              day even if you are excused from this class.  In other words, turn in your work
              before you leave for an activity, sports event, appointment or any other reason for
              leaving school.

         D.  Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated.  Homework is assigned for practice and

              copying someone else's does not help YOU!  Dishonesty on a test or quiz will
              potentially earn you a zero.

        E.   Attendance:  After an excused absence, you have the same number of days to make

             up missed work, including tests.  Makeup exams will be taken before or after school
             instead of during class, and they may be different from the exams taken by the rest
             of the class.

       F.   Behavior: Students are expected to treat school property, each other and each other’s

            property with respect.
